Pink Turtlehead (Chelone lyonii)
Pink Turtlehead

Pink Turtleheads are a lovely late season bloom that naturalizes in wet areas. Pink flowers that resemble turtle heads are carried high on 3-foot stalks. The deep green leaves have a rounded base and long tapering point.

They grow beautifully in a perennial border and naturalize in boggy areas. They prefer fertile, moist soil and flourish in full sun to partial shade..

Bloom time: Late August through early to mid-September
